KIM JOINS HUMANA CHALLENGE

A three time winner on the PGA Tour, Anthony Kim will participate in the Humana Challenge starting in a couple of days in partnership with the Clinton Foundation. Kim joins a challenge which includes stars like Phil Mickelson, Greg Norman and Bill Hass among others. It is to be noted that Kim has not featured in desert's PGA tour event since 2008 where he finished third behind D J Trahan and Justin Leonard.

Kim’s participation has thrilled the organizers of the tournament. Larry Thiel, Humana Challenge Tournament Chairman commented that adding Kim is a great boost for the tournament as he draws tremendous amount of interest because of his ties to the Coachella valley. Kim's aggressive style of play is also expected to draw large crowds to the tournament.

Kim's best season came four years ago in 2008 when he triumphed the Wachovia Championship and the AT&T National. Kim joined PGA Tour in
2007 and he won a couple of events in 2008. In 2010, Kim added a third title to his name at the Shell Houston Open but the rest of the year he laid low because of a surgery on his left thumb. Back from his surgery in 2011, Kim has won over $1 million and was placed 87th on the tour's money list.
