This week’s WGC – HSBC Championship is going to be the bull’s eye for Martin Kaymer who is looking forward to win the same with style. Almost 12 months ago, Kaymer went on to win his first World Golf Championships.
Earlier in January he started his season with a splendid victory at the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship. However, after there was change in swing noticed it called for a revision of his skills which were evident from the not-so-good performances delivered by him at the BMW Italian Open presented by CartsSi where he managed to secure a fifth place instead of top position. He simply secured points for the Ryder Cup the previous month. At the BMW Masters at Lake Malaren Golf Club he finished at 11th which was quite disappointing on his part and for his fans.
However, Martin Kaymer is not putting all his performances into the trash list right now because he felt he had been good at the Abu Dhabi Championship but he had been a little ‘flat’. Now Kaymer is all mentally preparing himself to make up for the ‘loss’ in his form at the defends his title over the Olazábal Course at Mission Hills in China, designed by Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup Captain.
Martin Kaymer admitted that he felt pressure quite enough when he was not able to get the best position in each of the above mentioned tournaments and events. That was the time he had to decide that something better need to be done, a bigger event was necessary for the ‘return-to-form’. And for that a lot of mental strength is necessary in turn. He is quite hopeful with the upcoming WGC- HSBC event and he thinks this is going to be the golden arrow for him.
