Two of Europe’s top Ryder Cup golfers – Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose are really determined to distant Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, in the HSBC Abu Dhabi Championship which is all to begin tomorrow.
Both Martin Kaymer and Justin Rose are headed in their very first event of the year feeling quite confident that they could be in the mix against the star pair as well as the new Nike stablemates in Abu Dhabi.
Justin, who is now the world number five golfer, finished the 2012 season on a high in spite of being pipped by Rory McIlroy in Dubai World Championship, the season ending championship. The English golfer signed off with a sixty two only for Rory to birdie the last 5 holes to be victorious by 2 strokes.
Justin told that he did not win but in his mind, he felt that he did because to the way he executed the shots. He felt that he did everything he could do to win the championship. It was one of three positive experiences that he had last year and he was convinced by the fact that he has the skills and tools to compete against players like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy on a regular basis.
German golfer Martin Kaymer stated that he is here to be the winner. In the opening round, he would partner Woods and McIlroy. Last season, he struggled with his game most of the time. He added that he still have to work on a lot of things but he feels that he is ready to compete against the best.
